THE DEPTH
OF THE POND
This space takes its inspiration from the meaning of my name:
“Gracious Pond.”
A pond evokes a depth that is not easily revealed. I believe that good design, too, stems not from a focus on outward results, but from the depth of looking into the layers beneath the surface.
That is why I have chosen to take the time to build depth rather than rush forward. Here, my thoughts and work do not expand immediately but linger for a moment, to be observed and refined. Even if it appears calm on the surface, the experiences firmly condensed within will come together to form the foundation for a better path.
Guided by the belief that only after a small pond has reached sufficient depth can it finally flow out into the wider sea, I continue to document my own depth.
About me
I use design to understand problems and carry out my work.
I’m more interested in the process behind the result than in the result itself. By observing the structure and flow of the screen, as well as user behavior, I consider how small differences can transform the overall experience.
Rather than rushing to a conclusion, I choose to look a little deeper and organize my thoughts, and in that process, I’m establishing my own standards. Through a variety of projects, I consider both visual quality and usability to create better results.
